Roofing for New Construction and FAQ Notes

A practical guide for new roofs covers deck quality, underlayment, and ventilation. Use 15 pound asphalt felt, ensure a dry deck, and ventilate attic spaces to avoid condensation. Install a metal drip edge, eaves flashing, and proper flashing at all joints to prevent leaks. White roofs may show fungi in humidity, but fungus resistant shingles are available. High gloss finishes are popular for durability and ease of cleaning, despite some dislike.
