Witnesses Report Suspect Seen Near Hillside Strangler Case
In Los Angeles a Hollywood public library staffer may have seen the man who sexually molested and strangled 17 year old Kimberly Diane Martin, the Hillside Strangler’s first victim in 15 days. The victim worked a telephone massage business in Hollywood and arranged a Tuesday night date after a caller sought “a good looking blonde.” Police say the man who set the date called from a library pay phone and lingered to confirm the appointment, with witnesses describing a mustached man with a limp. Martin’s nude body was found on a hillside northeast of downtown Los Angeles early Wednesday. Co workers and a prostitutes group report police initially dismissed their help. Police acknowledge ongoing investigation and past ties to prostitutes among earlier victims.
