Mrs. Charles Riechers was nominated for the Outstanding Young Woman contest in Laddonia, gifts were sent to Fulton State Hospital for Christmas, mystery pal names were drawn, and a get well card was sent to Mrs. Harold Maxwell in Audrain Medical Center.

McMillan School youths held a ham and turkey drawing at the Pack No 36 meeting on November 18. Beetle Brooks won the ham and Mr and Mrs J B Barkley won the turkey. Cub Scouts sold tickets totaling 280 dollars. Eric Clausen received a pocket knife for selling the most tickets. Terry Sperks and David Creed earned gift certificates for selling winning tickets.
