City Extension To Wait Longer In Annexation Case
Oral arguments in the case blocking the city's annexation election are set for the week of June 3 1974 before the St. Louis Court of Appeals. The delay will push voter balloting into late 1974 or early 1975. Salmons Village owner John Salmons filed the appeal to block the election. Salmons and city attorney Ed Hodge are preparing briefs. The plan would expand the city eastward beyond the airport to include land east of Mexico up to Vandiver Village, between Pollock Road and the Burlington Northern rail line.
