Cynthia Lowry notes that reruns often look better than original airings. The Virginian and The Men from Shiloh are cited as examples with mixed reception, while Music Hall and Alan King reruns offer sharper moments and better writing. King’s monologues and skits display humor and polish, though some hosts lack cohesion.
