Boy Scouts Overnight Outing In Springfield
The Troop 1 scouts met at the First Baptist Church Friday at 6 PM for an overnight hike to Springfield. After a delayed start and a patched car, they found a camp under an old bridge near ivy covered oaks. Scoutmaster Rochelle introduced Uncle Button Evans, a Civil War storyteller, as Chief Paul visited but could not stay the night.
