Medicare HMOs not pushed for elderly patients says officials
The Associated Press reports Clinton administration officials will not push Medicare patients to join HMOs due to potential losses. Bruce Vladeck of HCFA said they won’t promote aggressively until high quality care and payment methods are improved.
