Preteen girl suspected in drowning of boy 5
Detroit homicide detectives say a 12 year old neighbor admitted to drowning Matthew Alten in a bathtub at her home. The boy, 5, was found in a cardboard box under clothes in the girl’s bedroom after his mother reported him missing. Prosecutors will decide if charges of first degree murder will be filed.
