Southern Pacific completes track upgrades from Tucson to El Paso

The Southern Pacific Company has finished laying twenty miles of heavy 62 and 75 pound rails from Lordsburg to El Paso. The improvement strengthens the roadbed and enhances safety. Benson and Bowie yards are being doubled in capacity to meet rising demand.
