Fatal Shooting at Janssen Ends Bonner Life

Charles Bonner of Janssen was fatally shot early Saturday while aiding in the arrest of Will Glenn, known as Choctaw Glenn. Glenn was captured by a conductor and turned over to authorities. preliminary examination is planned, amid threats of lynching and community anger.

Arrest of Jerry Baldwin on whisky charge in Fort Smith

Deputy United States Marshal King aided by Deputy Sheriff Cunningham arrested Jerry Baldwin at his home on a whisky sale or manufacture charge and brought him to Fort Smith on Friday. Baldwin, about 50, father of a large family, offered no resistance. The report includes an ad for Pricklish Bitters sold by Jackson Drug Co.
