In the Melfort district the epidemic remains steady with 11 patients at Lady Minto on November 14. Deaths since Saturday include Mrs Irvine Frank, Carence Poole, Dr Geo Erickson, Mrs T Atkinson, and Mr Landy. Funeral notices detail services at resi dences, Grainger’s rooms, and local lodges. Prison District Reports On Erroneous Patient Warnings
Prisons in the district are blamed for deleting reports about patient conditions causing distress to friends. Several patients were reported dead though alive and very ill at press time. The central office at phone 188 takes daily reports at 10 am and 8 pm for all in the hospital and sometimes town and district. Public urged to contact for information.
Flu Hits School Hospital Staff And Volunteers
Flu cases affect the Emergency Hospital with Mr Gibb and Miss Dorothy among the ill. Nurse Mine Mellor joins the volunteer staff at the hospital while two nurses Belle Ross and Minnie McLeno are convalescent guests of Mrs W. B. Panton. Humboldt nurse Mr Lockwood assists at the school hospital. Reverend Barres offers help and a few girls are sought to look after children.
