Laws Defining County Treasurers Duties in Ohio
The document outlines how county treasurers in Ohio with populations under a specified threshold must retain and disburse taxes levied within the township where the county treasury sits. It details disbursement on orders from township trustees, city councils, and boards of education, and establishes settlement procedures, with provisions exempting state-levied taxes and protecting township treasurers from certain compensations. It also notes prohibitions on closing township treasuries and references appointing officials and speakers.
