Sunday night brought a series of burglaries or attempted burglaries of Catholic parochial residences in this Borough and Kane but which resulted in frustrated efforts at the residence of father p. J. Donohue of St. Elizabeth s Church Smethport. At the residence of father j. F. Dugan of St. Callistus Church Kane however the robber secured j300, rep resenting the pastor s monthly collections received at mass sunday. The robbery attempt at Tho rectory was an unusually daring one being perpetrated about a. In.
