The Board of Trustees held a special meeting and approved petitions from west side property owners to build a sidewalk along Main Avenue from Railroad Street north to the Land Office stand, with crosswalks planned near Babcock yard Hockwell yard and several local shops. A sidewalk on the east side from Frees Hockwell lumber yard to Dodge Street was also proposed.
The Congregational church is under extensive repairs with about one to two weeks left. Interior improvements include regular seating funded by Representative Hockwell, making the church more church like. A Mission Band sociable in Mrs. Dungan's on Wednesday November 5 will raise funds with items from Rochester.
