Attempted false pretenses lead to arrest in Raton

Four Meet Death in Peoria Fire at Livery Stable
In Peoria on January 5 Mryrs Linton Davidson and his two children died in a fire that destroyed a livery stable where the family lived above. Davidson, fatally injured, woke his wife and children and moved them to a roof, hoping for rescue. The roof collapsed as Mrs Davidson hesitated to jump with the babies. Mrs Shad Whittaker lies seriously ill at her parents home on Galisteo and South Seventh Street.
