Valley Few held a bake roast. Melvin Beyers visited. Jessie Smits went to Sioux City for dental work. Cora Johnson visited in Sioux City and Hornick. Goldie Vera and Orville Mueller drove to Orange City. Henry Becker family spent Sunday with Lo Beck home. Chas Daven and wife auto to Carmel to visit nephew Bede ker. Mrs Daven to lay a new floor. Emil Krukenberg from Kansas visiting aunt Mrs Henry Serge. Mrs Chris Mueller left for Lowden to be with her ailing mother.
In Mau Rice the Independents won the mayor and council seats as two tickets faced off. Voters were sparse and the result left the treasury funded for anticipated water system work and other improvements with no violence.
Last Tuesday in Sioux Falls court M. G. Calton was wed to Hattie Warntjes of Maurice Iowa. The bride is new to our city but described as a lady of many good qualities. The couple will reside in the southwest part of town where Calton has built a furnished home for his bride. The Courier joins friends in wishing the newlyweds a long, prosperous, and happy life.
