CPR marathon sparks interest in learning life saving skills
Glenwood hosts a 24 hour CPR marathon at Brookwood Junior High that trained almost 350 residents from Glenwood and surrounding communities. More than 100 earned basic CPR and first aid certificates while about 145 took an advanced life support test. The event honored Matt Urbanowski who died a month after a CPR effort saved by his brother. The drive aims to educate 10 percent of Glenwood annually and raise survival rates for sudden cardiac arrest.
