Hazel Crest police logged two bicycle thefts from unlocked garages on Western and Anthony avenues. An 18 year old man was assaulted by two youths while washing his car on Dogwood Lane. Others include a woman charged with criminal damage to property after kicking a refrigerator door, a man charged with aggravated assault on officers, a domestic battery case, a disorderly conduct case, and an aggravated assault and criminal trespass incident at Denny’s Restaurant.

An East Hazel Crest resident reported tires deflated gas cap removed paint on the driver window damaged wipers. A TV, pictures and floor lamp were stolen from a public storage unit at 17208 a St between Sept 30 and Saturday. A stolen car was found abandoned on I-80 overpass at Halsted with hood up and driver missing. Hammond Police had reported the theft two days earlier.
