Condo owner stands up for dog rights at Chestnut Cove
Barbra Marsteller at Chestnut Cove Tinley Park led neighbors in challenging a weight limit for pets after a building-wide shift in bylaws allowed larger dogs. They voted to cap pets by height at the shoulder rather than weight, securing 37 votes to grandfather in current dogs and set broader reasonable limits.

Condos lure families as towns move toward town houses
Homewood and Crestwood residents recount moving to Hunt Club in Frankfort and other towns, swapping lawns for pools and parks. They cite lower maintenance, shared amenities, and neighborly social life as benefits, while noting tradeoffs like longer commutes and less privacy. Planners say density rises with multifamily housing, with Tinley Park aiming for 25 percent town houses and condos as growth continues.
