Area man seeks clemency in 1988 Chicago murder case
Lawrence Moore, a 21-year-old Texas drifter, seeks executive clemency after a 45-year sentence for killing Midlothian gun shop owner Paul Johnson. The Illinois Prisoner Review Board will hear testimony as Johnson’s family fights the possibility of Moore’s release. Moore cites rehabilitation, finds God, and has completed college courses and earned a sanitation license while in prison.
