Learning disabilities and its effect on the family
Dr. Melvin Levine, pediatrics professor, spoke at a South Suburbs conference on hidden handicaps. The event, sponsored by Flossmoor clinic and ACLD, drew 75 professionals and parents to discuss early diagnosis and comprehensive intervention for LD. Levine urged mass education and early services to prevent escalating costs and lockstep stigma.
