Aaron Kramer finished a 13 month 12000 mile ride across the United States and Canada and recalls the warmth and generosity of strangers as his vivid memory. He faced harsh weather loneliness and the constant need to find a bunk for the night. The Chicago area native began Aug 3 1988 in Park Forest and ended Sept 16 in Chicago with worn gear and a pack that weighed 75 pounds.
