Rich Township approves renovation funds for senior center
At a town meeting Monday evening Rich Township trustees unanimously approved amendments to the federal revenue sharing budget permitting expenditures of 11330 35 for the current fiscal year. Funds will come from surplus in the revenue sharing and will renovate and maintain the new senior citizen center at 22001 Governors Highway in Richton Park next to the township trees. Residents praised the center and said committees will help with painting and drapes. A $15 328 Area Agency on Aging grant was added to fund six senior programs and a part time information and referral worker position.
