A walkathon to benefit Habitat For Humanity is planned for 9 am Saturday with walkers invited from Country Club Hills and Park Forest. The event supports low income working families. The 33rd annual Illinois Editors' Traffic Safety Seminar Essay Contest asks seniors to propose societal fixes for aggressive driving. Nearly 2,000 entries are winnowed by seminar directors before five finalists are chosen by a University of Illinois panel. Scholarships total 10,000 dollars with 2,000 dollars for each winner. over 32,000 participants have entered since inception and more than 176,000 dollars have been awarded.
