Suburbs to Unveil Major Crimes Task Force
A South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force joining 37 south and southwest suburbs will pool detectives for high profile cases. Up to 130 detectives may be activated, with help from state police, Cook County Sheriff, Chicago police and the FBI. The unit, based in Crestwood, launches in June.
