Monument honors indigent burials at Homewood cemetery
A 4 by 5 foot monument with praying hands will be dedicated this Wednesday at Homewood Memorial Gardens to mark the mass graves of more than 4 000 unclaimed bodies from Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. The Interfaith Memorial Ministry for Indigent Persons organized the project funded by private and corporate donations with Sun Times support.
