Police report details Ford Heights murder and bystander apathy
The Illinois State Police file on Richard Will's murder in Ford Heights reveals bystanders laughed and ignored his pleas as he was beaten and set afire with lighter fluid. Man charged with practicing dentistry without a license
Anthony Carbone 50 faces nine counts of unlawful practice of dentistry for fitting dentures at Carbone Dental Clinic in Chicago Heights between October 1993 and March 1995 without a license. Prosecutors say the charges reflect public safety concerns and aim to shut down the clinic. additional complaints and future charges against others are expected. Carbone’s arraignment is scheduled for June 3.

Rich East student dies in fire after inhaling fumes
Stephen Allen a 16 year old Rich East High School student from Matteson died after a fire near Timber Ridge Mobile Home Park in unincorporated Rich Township. He and another youth reportedly inhaled gasoline fumes from a can causing his body to catch alight. He died at Loyola University Medical Center after being airlifted from Olympia Fields. Autopsy pending. Counselors were provided at Rich East as the school noted this was his first year there after moving from Rich South.
