Water main upgrade may threaten two ancient oaks
Olympia Fields residents fight to spare two very old oaks on Greenwood Drive as public works moves to install a six inch water main. Trustee Dan Regan cites trenching options and a $107000 contract with Hulette Corporation while arborist Lynn Zachman warns trenching could fail. The Village Board will decide whether to save the trees.
