Chicago Heights resident Armetta Wilson, 30, injured her ankle Saturday at Owens Illinois on Arnold Street while sorting glass bottles. She was treated and released from St James Hospital. Brian Lowe, 24, charged with cannabis possession and traffic offenses after police found marijuana in his car during a Wentworth stop. Lowe to appear June 11 in Cook County court. Nicor Gas crews repaired a ruptured line on Dixie Highway after construction workers struck it during lamp placement at Hoffman Florist, causing traffic detours for about 2.5 hours.

Man charged after stealing funeral procession car in chase
A 29 year old Chicago man, Eddie Sykes of 6620 S Laflin, was arrested after allegedly stealing a funeral home station wagon outside St Agnes Parish in Chicago Heights. He led a police chase through Homewood and Chicago Heights, damaging a squad car before being caught. He faces aggravated possession of a stolen vehicle and traffic charges, held on a 15000 dollar bond.

Chicago Heights police arrested 22 year old Torrance Hollaman for allegedly robbing Church's Fried Chicken on April 15. A cashier identified him from mug shots after a wanted flyer was issued. He is charged with armed robbery and held on 100000 bond.
