Dixie Square redevelopment hits snags in Harvey
Harvey seeks to transform the 57 acre Dixie Square Mall site at 153rd and Dixie Highway into a regional transportation center with bus shuttle Amtrak Metra service and other facilities. City officials accuse IDOT of blocking funding while IDOT says it follows guidelines and denies obstruction. A second feasibility study is being requested which could relocate the DRC.
