Frankfort resident’s dog survives coyote attack in backyard
Mike Borjas says two coyotes pulled Spike a 6 year old Bichon from his Georgetown Road yard just after 3 am on May 5. Spike sustained puncture wounds to the jugular area and stomach and was treated for shock before returning home on antibiotics. Local officials advise leashing pets and building a fence as coyotes become more common in nearby woods and fields.
