Richton Park Drumstick Dash nets 4200 for Make-A-Wish

Rich Township to mark 150th anniversary with open house

After months of debate the Richton Park Village Board approved a special use permit for Cuddletime Day Care Center at 22363 and 22365 Governors Highway with conditions including a 50 foot concrete barrier along the play area wall and a dumpster relocation. Trustee Gregg Spathis cast the lone no vote citing concerns about lost sales tax revenue from the day care in the commercial strip. Burnetts must obtain Gee Lumber owner permission to enter for barrier installation and the village may acquire the barrier if the facility closes. Village President Rudolph Banovich noted IDOT barrier options may be available with retrieval required from an IDOT site.
