Illinois residents from Glen Ellyn Wheaton West Chicago and Naperville join 26 Chicago area volunteers among 84 day relay to Atlanta. Torch bearers include a seventh grader quadriplegic teacher and community advocates, honoring service and human dignity as they travel from Chicago to Gary Indiana.
Don Snider was named Arts and Entertainment Editor for Star Newspapers and editor of FirstLook magazine at Homewood this week. A 1966 Indiana University graduate and Indianapolis native, he previously served 17 years at the Chicago Sun-Times including eight years as Executive Sports Editor and two as Deputy Features Editor. He has also worked at the Louisville Courier-Journal Indianapolis News and Milwaukee Sentinel and has lived in the South Suburbs with his wife Carol and sons Marc Mickey and Matthew since 1979.
