Proceeds fund parking lot at South campus and industrial arts complex at East campus, with completion planned this summer. Tax rate expected to fall due to valuation rise and lower debt service. Old ICG commuter cars finally pulled from service after 53 years
H G Moon Mullins told trustees that the old single level ICG commuter cars are completely removed from revenue service and no longer operable. The transit district is receiving 36 new Bombardier Highliners, with 18 in service and the rest to lengthen rush hour trains. A May ceremony for the Bombardier order is planned, with displays of the old cars possibly on station grounds.
