Controversy over Harvey officer shooting sparks conspiracy talk
A Harvey police official alleges a conspiracy behind the Wednesday shooting of rookie officer Gerald Lewis, tied to the closure of an unlicensed auto detailing shop owned by suspended captain Chris Barton. Police say the suspect, a 30-year-old Harvey man with a criminal record, acted alone or with others and remains under investigation.
