Robin Tanko reports that Matteson resident Lamar Chapman threatened to sue the village over promotional efforts aimed at attracting white home buyers. A prior ruling by Circuit Judge Curtis Heston upheld the Electoral Board’s overrule of Chapman’s objections to six village trustee candidates and denied charges against village President Mark Stricker as an impartial hearing officer. Chapman warned of suing if any taxpayer funds fund what he calls a discriminatory push to preserve racial diversity.
