Park tax levy put to voters

Richton Park residents will vote next month on a park tax levy to fund park equipment and maintenance. If approved, the levy could raise about 56,000 above current funds for 1998 94, with home assessments rising 10 to 16 dollars annually for certain valuations. The tax would create a separate revenue source for the Parks and Recreation Department, which currently relies on general funds and self support projects.
