Meal delivery volunteers sought for senior program
The Community Nutrition Network seeks volunteer drivers to deliver meals to more than 80 home bound seniors in multiple south suburban towns. Volunteers pick up meals at 11 a.m. from Ingalls Memorial Hospital or Oak Forest Hospital, Monday through Friday, and are reimbursed 25 cents per mile. Residents apply to a local coordination unit, with contacts at South Suburban Senior Service of Catholic Charities or PLOWS Council on Aging for different townships. Barbara Worthington is the program manager.
