Pace suburban system shows a 2.7 percent drop to 38.2 million riders in 1993 from 1992. Divisions vary with Northwest down 7 percent and Fox Valley up 2.4 percent, while Pace South and Southwest post declines. VIP and subscription services exceed 358,700 and 200,000 riders respectively as Pace plans more vans and ECO-driven growth in 1994.
Pace suburban bus system implements the Attendant Subsidy Program to allow an attendant or companion to ride fixed route buses at a reduced rate when accompanying a person with disabilities certified under Pace or CTA paratransit programs.
