Juvenile charged in aggravated battery with knife and bat
Matteson police report a juvenile attacker injured another juvenile with a knife and bat during a 10:44 a.m. dispute on the 3800 block of 217th St. The 20 year old victim was stabbed and struck, the suspect was taken to Audi Home, and the victim released from Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital.

Sentencing date set for Mangialardi in Chicago Heights case

Crete Township car window smashed. Will County theft report
A cellular phone was stolen from a car in the 1700 block of Old Monee Road Crete Township after a window was broken. Joshua Carty, 25, of Hammond Indiana was charged with several traffic violations on Illinois Route 394 between Steger and Richton roads. passenger Janet Austgen, 25 of Cedar Lake Indiana, posted bond after an outstanding Cook County warrant. Police pursued the speeding vehicle as driver changes occurred, reaching 70 mph on 394 northbound.
