Tezak's bid to dismiss fire for hire case denied
U S District Judge Wayne Anderson refused Tezak's motion to dismiss the indictments in the fire for hire case. A July 21 status date set. Tezak faces four counts, two arson and two conspiracy in Galaxy Bowl Crest Hill and Joliet PIC blaze.

St Paul Lutheran School centennial rites honor eighth grade class
St Paul Lutheran School of Chicago Heights marked its 100th anniversary with centennial exercises for the eighth grade class. American Legion Awards went to Brooke Bialasik and Jan Gawczynski, with Barbara Williams as valedictorian and April Seite as salutatorian. The Rev. William Royer gave the commencement address, aided by Pastors Steuer ngel and Dancy. Diplomas were awarded by James Staton.

Cyclists gear up for MS 150 Ride to the Rock event
Randy Van Kuiken of Tinley Park designs the route for this year’s MS 150 Ride to the Rock, a two day fund raiser for the Chicago Greater Illinois Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The all new route features three start points at Benedictine College Lisle Lewis University Romer Illinois and Illinois Central College Peoria with 1800 riders expected to travel through Naperville Aurora Montgomery Oswego Yorkville Newark Sheridan Wedron Dayton Danville and other towns. The goal is $500,000 with $35 registration and at least $150 in pledges per rider.
