Stricker defends bid to oust Perry supporter

Soggy Suburbs Endure Flooding From Relentless Rains
South Suburbs faced two days of heavy rain causing basement flooding, vehicle drownings in underpasses, and widespread cancellations along Interstate 57 and the Dan Ryan. No storm deaths were reported. A funnel cloud was spotted near Cicero Avenue in Matteson as storms eased, with winds up to 60 mph and up to seven inches of rain in some areas.
