Pam Kowal named Patient of the Year at NKFI event
Calumet City woman Pam Kowal, 37, who endures four 30 minute dialysis sessions daily, was named Patient of the Year by the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois at the Dialysis Center in Chicago. She credits positive thinking, family support, and CAPD for sustaining her through chronic kidney disease and a race toward a future kidney transplant.

Homewood resident Terence Gorski has won the Marty Mann Award for excellence in alcoholism and addiction communications from the National Foundation for Alcoholism Communications. Griffith elected ICCTA South Suburban Region chair
