Richton Park man’s murder sentence overturned by court

Illinois Supreme Court upheld the conviction of Willie C. Pugh for the 1986 murder of Brian Douglas outside a South Chicago Heights gas station but reversed the death sentence. Matteson ends bid for viaduct land. funds revert

Matteson officials reclaimed 100000 placed in escrow as a six month window to acquire a 200 foot strip under the Illinois Central viaduct expired.
