Record of refinery blast death toll and grants notice

Quorum Delay Tests Richton Park Board Meeting

Richton Park officials faced a near cancellation as the village board met with no quorum then resumed after 8:47 p.m. Four members present approved four ordinances including a fiscal 1984 85 appropriation package topping 35 million dollars while others were delayed by staff reports and late roll call. Trustee Reeves explained a family medical emergency as the delay stretched into the night.
