Homewood native named Blue Angels flight leader
Patrick Driscoll from Homewood rose from a risk taking teenager to lead the Navy Blue Angels as flight leader. He will command the elite squad for two years while flying the F-18 and promoting naval aviation. His friends and family cite his drive, speed love, and disciplined training from Homewood Flossmoor High School to the University of Illinois and the Navy. The role follows his two years as Gunslingers commander and earlier combat in the Persian Gulf War and Bosnia.
