Kosovo refugees adapt to life in U S as they flee Kosovo
Albanian refugees Dugagjin and Lemane Sokoli describe their Chicago stay as a mix of tourism and refuge while rebuilding lives in Worth. They are among Illinois arrivals totaling about 400 Kosovars in the Chicago area, with 800 more seeking to join relatives. Refugees face visa rules, housing, work, and language hurdles as they pursue permanent status and eventual citizenship.
