Orland Park police adopt Saf-T-Lok gun safety device
Orland Park becomes the first U S city police force to require Saf-T-Lok magazines for department issued Glock .40 caliber pistols. The seven to nine dollar per magazine locks can be activated by a personal code, protecting firearms at officers homes and during vacations. The department expects to outfit 90 plus officers at a total cost near four thousand dollars with devices ordered this month and issued after the August quarterly shoot.
