Richton Park approves road resurfacing and new street
Richton Park village board approved resurfacing two thirds of Richton road at about ten thousand dollars with S G Hayes and Company of Markham the work to begin soon sections from St Ives to 219th street in Matteson and an east west Poplar street extension to Richton road are planned as access improvements for a proposed commuter parking lot 90 percent funded by state and federal agencies construction on these sections likely next spring a second bid lower than the initial estimate was accepted for road resurfacing and Jostes Concrete was chosen for sidewalk work the board heard a public budget hearing for a five million eight hundred twenty eight thousand sixty seven dollar appropriation ordinance for 1978 79 and will hold a second readings July 24
