The board also considered hiring a part time planning consultant, voting 5 to 0 to solicit resumes.

Rich Township High School District 227 board discussed the challenges of student travel at a Wednesday meeting at Rich Central. French teacher Gertrude McCarthy proposed a non district funded France trip.
An informational meeting on improving 216th and Main streets is planned for Matteson residents. A roadway demonstration at Matteson elementary school runs 6:30 to 7:30 PM, followed by a 7:30 PM meeting in the Huth Upper Grades gym to discuss alternatives. Attendees should enter via the 213th street entrance.
Rocco D Amelio was named Oakwood school principal at a salary of 17500 by Matteson Elementary School District 162. He succeeds Edwin Stuart who resigned to focus on American Landmark Realty. The board approved a 10000 annual contract to transport St Lawrence O Toole Catholic school students, with routing via Huth Upper Grade center.
